Digitization is transforming the economy and the world of finance in significant and unimaginable ways. Digital transformation is revolutionizing the delivery and consumption of financial services and payment systems. Some of the visible trends include digital banking, digital payments, trading and wealth management, and cryptocurrencies. Financial digitization presents enormous efficiencies and advantages as well as costs and challenges. Unregulated digital transformation poses significant threats to the stability of financial systems.
