Membership

The membership of the Sri Lankan Finance Association is open to individuals and institutions having an interest in finance or related fields in Sri Lanka and worldwide.

The benefits of membership include the following:

• Opportunity to attend the conferences, seminars and other events organized by the SLFA and learn about research, practice and policy developments in the field of finance and related fields.
• Opportunity to present research, practice and policy papers at annual conferences and seminars.
• Opportunity to network with finance scholars and professionals in Sri Lanka and around the world.
• Access to education and research material relating to the Sri Lankan financial markets and the economy through our online library.

The SLFA membership shall be divided into the following classes:

1. Academic members
   Any academic with an interest in finance or related fields shall be eligible for membership as an academic member of the Association. Annual fee Rs. 1,000.

2. Professional members
   Any practitioner or policy maker with an interest in finance or related fields shall be eligible for membership as a professional member of the Association. Annual fee Rs. 1,000.

3. Institutional members
   Any organization including business firms, banks and financial institutions, government entities, universities, centers for research, and similar entities shall be eligible for membership as an institutional member of the Association. Annual fee Rs. 50,000.

4. Student members
   Any student in finance or related fields shall be eligible as a student member by fulfilling the requirements of the application. Annual fee Rs. 100.

5. Life members
   Any academic, practitioner or policy maker with an interest in finance or related fields shall be eligible for membership as a life member of the Association by fulfilling the requirements of the application. Annual fee Rs. 25,000.

6. Honorary members
   Honorary members are elected members of the Association in recognition of exceptional  services on behalf of the Association or to finance or related fields. No annual fee.

1. Complete the membership form below and click “Submit.” Please make sure to pay the annual membership fees by sending a cheque or making a bank deposit as indicated in the instructions below.
2. Membership fees paid now apply to the membership for the current calendar year regardless of when the membership is obtained. The membership period runs from January 01 to December 31 and needs to be renewed every year to stay current. Membership dues are non-refundable.
3. If payment by Cheque: Write the cheque to SLFA and mail it to SLFA Secretariat.
4. If payment by bank deposit/transfer: Deposit the membership fee to SLFA account number 097-1001-2001-7849 at People’s Bank, Gangodawila Branch. Mail or email the deposit confirmation/slip. SWIFT Code: PSBKLKLX
