The recent economic and financial turbulence caused by the global financial crisis has created an extremely difficult environment, particularly for governments and policy makers, to respond to such turbulence and maintain resilience in their economics and financial systems. International trade and financial flows have almost stopped. In this context, the Annual Conference on Emerging Financial Markets and Policies (EFMP-2023) aims to provide a platform for academics, practitioners and policy makers to collaborate and share the contemporary perspectives on issues relating to the business and economy in general and finance in particular.

The 2023 Annual International Conference on Emerging Financial Markets and Policy organized by the Sri Lanka Finance Association will be held on June 23, 2023 in the hybrid mode: online and on-site at University of Jaffna.

The conference welcomes research papers in all areas of finance focusing on emerging markets and economies. Conference tracks include the following:

• Corporate Finance
• Corporate Governance
• Financial Markets and Institutions
• Behavioural Finance
• Financial and Monetary Economics
• Entrepreneurial Finance
• Public finance

Papers are invited from academics, policy makers as well as graduate students from Sri Lanka and abroad, particularly from emerging and frontier economies.

You are invited to submit your research papers to be considered for presentation at the conference. Only full research papers will be considered.

The authors have the option to publish the papers accepted for the conference for publication in the to the Journal of Emerging Financial Markets and Policy (JEFMP) which is a peer-reviewed international journal dedicated to emerging and frontier financial markets and economies.

Authors will be notified of the acceptance decision by May 20, 2023.
